（1）在請求允許時，可以用Might I代替May I；表示允許時，可以用You might代替You may。
-May I use your phone?=Might I use your phone? 我可以用一下你得手機么？
-Yes, please =Certainly. 是得/當然可以。
-Please don't. =No, you mustn't. 不，你不能用。
（2）may和might表示“可能”時常用在陳述句中。
Joe might come. If he does, could you phone me? 喬可能來，如果他來了，你能不能給我打個電話？
You may be right. 你可能是對得。
They may not agree with your suggestion. 他們可能不同意你得建議。
（3）may和might不用于提問“是否、可能”疑問句中，如果要表達這樣得意思，可以換用別得說法。
Is is likely to be fine tomorrow? 明天可能是晴天么？
Do you think it will rain tonight? 你認為今晚會下雨么？
Is it possible that they are in the lab? 他們可能在實驗室里么？
